About The Position

We are looking for a full-time, hard-working, and responsible individual to join our Environmental Technician Crew. In this position you will be responsible for assisting operators, installing stabilization matting, seeding, strawing, hydroseeding, planting trees, shrubs, and bio engineering materials. Successful candidates should be physically fit with the ability to work outdoors in a mix of weather conditions. Please note that this position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with Kinsley Construction policies and procedures.

Requirements

Has prior landscaping, labor, and supervisory experience.
High School or equivalent educational experience; vocational school or trade apprenticeships is a plus.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrains for up to 10+ hours.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting necessary deadlines.
Must be able to physically stand, bend, squat, and carry at a minimum of 75 pounds.
Must follow all company rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

Transports and installs large rolls of stabilization matting in all types of terrain and soil -including wetlands, hill slopes and stream banks.
Responsible for seeding, strawing and hydroseeding.
Efficiently transports and plants trees and shrubs.
Interprets and reads blueprints, project plans and other specifications for jobsite layout.
Safely operates power tools and large equipment to dig, load and unload trees/plants.
Ensures equipment and tools are clean and stored away properly.
Maintains a safe and clean working environment while following all construction site safety rules and procedures.
Follows all project instructions from Foreman.
