About The Position

The Environmental Technician III is a key position in supervising that the details of everyday production are executed through effective communications within the team and outside teams, departments, etc. Veolia has acquired Clean Earth. As Clean Earth completes its integration into Veolia, recruiting and hiring for this role is being managed in partnership with the Clean Earth talent acquisition team. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, gloves, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 2+ years of prior experience working with hazardous materials
  • Have the ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Ability to operate equipment, including a forklift and pallet jack

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience sampling and receiving hazardous waste
  • Has the ability to operate a powered industrial truck, e.g., forklift and possesses safe driving record.
  • Proficiency with Windows based programs (i.e. Excel and Word
  • Demonstrates knowledge of Hazardous Materials and OSHA Regulations
  • Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA Regulations
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology or related field

Responsibilities

  • Supervise segregation and packaging material for process along with the completion of required paperwork in a legible, accurate, and timely manner in accordance with appropriate regulations and Clean Earth policies, practices, and procedures
  • Separate and pack hazardous material for transport
  • Complete required paperwork in accordance with our practices and procedures
  • Collecting samples of inbound waste for laboratory analysis
  • Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.
