About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness and overall appearance, ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers and staff. The team member will perform various cleaning duties, assist customers, and contribute to other store operations as needed.
Requirements
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
- Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
- Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
- Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
- May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Deep cleans key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
- Keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notifies supervisor of supply needs.
- Seeks out areas requiring cleaning and takes initiative to complete the task.
- Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
- Maintains positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
- Projects a positive image and serves as a role model.
- Provides a fast and friendly check out experience; executes cash handling to standards.
- Engages customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completes enrollments.
- Assists with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
- Participates in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
- Supports shrink and safety programs.
- Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
