About The Position

The Environmental Team Member is responsible for maintaining the store's cleanliness and overall appearance to ensure a positive brand experience for customers. This role involves performing various cleaning tasks, assisting customers, and supporting store operations. The position requires adherence to safety and operational procedures, maintaining positive interactions, and projecting a professional image.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
  • Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return products to correct placement.
  • Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
  • Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
  • Deep clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisors of supply needs.
  • Identify and address areas requiring cleaning proactively.
  • Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
  • Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
  • Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
  • Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and execute cash handling.
  • Engage customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
  • Assist with Omni channel processes like Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram processes.
  • Support shrink and safety programs.
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs for compliance.
  • Execute Company policies and standards.
