About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver on Brand Promises. The team member will provide friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping the store, and help them find what they are looking for. Key duties involve collecting and disposing of trash, dusting and mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and cleaning assigned areas using specified materials and equipment. This may include mixing cleaning solutions. The role also involves deep cleaning of key store areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must maintain cleaning equipment, notify supervisors of supply needs, and proactively identify areas requiring cleaning. All tasks must be completed in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines, and performed with positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers. The role also includes other duties such as providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers in loyalty programs, assisting with omnichannel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store), participating in truck unloads and stocking, supporting safety programs, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
Ability to move throughout the store.
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and place products back in correct placement.
Clean assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions.
Deep clean key areas of the store including bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways.
Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly and notify supervisor of supply needs.
Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete the task.
Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Perform tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
Provide a fast and friendly check out experience.
Execute cash handling to standards.
Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participate in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Support shrink and safety programs.
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
Execute Company policies and standards.
