About The Position

As our Environmental Services Technician, you'll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards. Every day, you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials, including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies, as well as deliver clean linens. To be successful in this role, you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors, and staff. A well-maintained facility with compassionate staff brings comfort and peace of mind to patients, their loved ones, and all who serve here. Check all assigned areas to ensure that work is being completed; provide support to staff when needed. Must follow Hospital Safety Regulations 100% of the time. Must practice proper hand hygiene 100% of the time. Responds to department pager in a timely manor. Perform work functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods. Adhere to safety requirements, and established Infection Control procedures as outlined in Hospital and department orientation, and as set forth in the Environment of Care Plans.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or High School GED General Studies, upon hire or Equivalent technical training, upon hire
