About The Position

Clean assigned areas—including patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment—to meet Hospital and Department standards and promote quality of care in the environment. Move equipment, furniture, and boxes, and remove and hang blinds and curtains.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties successfully.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
• No contact with medications is allowed, though the role may involve being in rooms where medications are stored.
• Act 34 clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms as assigned, following established cleaning procedures.
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure they are clean and in good repair, and report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in assigned areas.
• Clean assigned patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and in working condition, and report problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, and boxes; wash walls; and spot-clean carpets as assigned.
• Remove and hang blinds and curtains.
