About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting throughout the health system. Duties include mopping, dusting, washing windows and walls, trash removal, carpet vacuuming, and scrubbing. The role involves using a Quality Control checklist for feedback, consistently using hospital checklists and room cleaned cards, and maintaining clean working areas and equipment. The employee will clean according to hospital checklists and manager's directions, introduce themselves when entering patient rooms, and inquire about further assistance before leaving. Professional manners towards everyone encountered are expected, contributing to a supportive and enthusiastic environment with work-appropriate conversations. The role aims to foster teamwork within the department and organization and requires active participation in department meetings. Training and procedures for infection control are mandatory.

Requirements

  • High School graduate or GED required.
  • Must be 18 years of age due to equipment use.
  • If job requires use of company vehicle must be 21 years of age or older with a clean valid MN driver's license.
  • Must know how to read and knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Must participate in training and procedures for infection control.
  • Excellent communication skills across disciplines and at various levels.
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Willingness to cross-train.
  • Background/Drug and Alcohol screening.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and disinfecting throughout the health system.

  • Consistently using hospital checklist and room cleaned cards.
  • Maintaining and keeping clean working areas and equipment.
  • Cleaning according to hospital checklist and per direction of the manager.
  • Introducing self when entering patient room along with asking if there is anything further they can do before leaving room.
  • Acknowledging and showing good professional manners towards everyone encountered.
  • Contributing to create and maintain a supportive and enthusiastic environment.
  • Keeping conversation work appropriate/area appropriate.
  • Helping create a team within department and organization.
  • Actively participating in department meetings.
  • Participating in training and procedures for infection control.
