This position performs a wide range of housekeeping tasks and projects including, but not limited to, the cleaning and disinfecting of; patient rooms, restrooms, waiting areas, offices, and clinical areas; responsible for the removal of regular trash and bio-hazardous waste; operation of equipment such as brooms, mops, vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers and upholstery shampooers; stocks assigned areas with paper towels, hand soap, hand sanitizer, toilet paper and other supplies; provides assistance to ensure a safe, clean environment for our customers. Acts as liaison on designated shifts to help facilitate work flow of EVS Associates and all housekeeping activities in the absence of management. Responds to all forms of communication in a prompt and professional manner. Uses critical thinking skills to prioritize tasks during emergencies. Provides effective communication to and from other departments as needs arise for routine and emergent housekeeping services. Coordinates and communicates the efficient workflow of all third shift EVS Associates through the scheduling and assigning of tasks. Trains, develops and evaluates the competency of third shift EVS Associates. Exhibits the F.I.R.S.T. values (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust). Must be knowledgeable in the use of all chemicals and all equipment. Carries pager and mobile phone throughout shift.
