Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper- Full Time)
About The Position
Under general direction, the Environmental Services Technician cleans hospital areas, including patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. The technician uses appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure and maintains the hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with standards established by Administration in conjunction with the Infection Control and Safety Committees. This is a float position requiring work in multiple areas on the evening and/or night shift. New hires must attend a mandatory three-day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH; attendance on all three days is required for onboarding completion.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand written documents and write; a high school education or equivalent is not required.
- Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
- After training, ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Environmental Services (EVS) experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
