Environmental Services Technician- Housekeeper (Full Time)
About The Position
Under general direction, the Environmental Services Technician cleans all areas of the hospital, including patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors. The technician uses appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure and maintains a clean and safe hospital environment consistent with standards established by Administration and the Infection Control and Safety Committees. This is a float position requiring work in multiple areas on the evening and/or night shift. The position reports to the Manager of Environmental Services. New hires must attend a mandatory three-day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, New Hampshire. Attendance on all three days is required to complete onboarding.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand written documents and write; high school education or equivalent is not required.
- Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
- After training, ability to work independently with little supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Attendance at all three days of the mandatory new-hire orientation is required.
Nice To Haves
- Prior Environmental Services (EVS) experience in a healthcare facility is preferred.
