Environmental Services Technician - CMC (Full Time)1st Shift
About The Position
Performs routine tasks in assigned areas, following a 7-Step cleaning process and the remaking of beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning. This role also involves performing routine tasks in assigned areas and following a maintenance schedule for floors and carpets. The technician will clean fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment. Responsibilities include emptying trash, wiping and relining containers, and operating a compactor if necessary. The role also involves replenishing disposable items such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels, and moving and resetting furnishings to original locations after job completion. Additionally, the technician will perform all methods of floor care, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing, and extraction, using specified equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete written forms required.
- Contact with water and cleaning solution, potentially contaminated waste, including sharps and other bio-hazardous waste.
- Based on the physical requirements for this position all applicants for this position are required to undergo a physical ability test as a condition of employment.
