The Environmental Services Technician performs routine tasks in assigned areas, following a 7-step cleaning process and remaking beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning. This role also involves performing routine tasks related to the maintenance schedule for floors and carpets. The technician will clean fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment. Responsibilities include emptying trash, wiping and relining containers, and operating a compactor if necessary. Additionally, the technician will replenish disposable items such as soap and paper towels, and move and reset furnishings to their original locations after completing tasks. A significant part of the role involves performing all methods of floor care, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing, and extraction, using specified equipment.
