Environmental Services Technician (EVS)
About The Position
Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Environmental Service Technician (EVS) / Housekeeper for their Marlton, NJ location. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and welcoming atmosphere within the hospital, directly contributing to patient recovery and visitor satisfaction. The EVS Technician will be responsible for cleaning various areas of the hospital, including halls, stations, waiting rooms, and patient rooms. The position offers a competitive hourly rate with potential for shift differentials and a comprehensive benefits package, including PTO, medical/RX, vision, dental, a 401(k) with company match, life, and disability insurance.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience.
Nice To Haves
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Hospital EVS experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Help provide a safe and welcoming atmosphere in our hospitals.
- Keep the halls, stations, waiting rooms, and patient rooms clean.
- Assist in maintaining the quality and appearance of the physical plant by reporting repair issues and needs on a daily basis or as needed.
- Keep floors clean and safe by dust mopping and wet mopping as necessary.
- Clean and polish all metal trim, furnishing, and/or equipment as necessary, as well as wash walls, windows, and beds as assigned.
- Strip, wax, and buff floors as assigned using safety precautions to properly carry out the procedures.
- Assist in moving furniture as requested.
- Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, and toilet tissue, as well as other disposable items.
