The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for the thorough cleaning of assigned areas, adhering to all organizational policies and procedures, and observing isolation procedures and Infection Prevention Standards. This role requires knowledge of correct chemicals for different pathogens, maintaining EVS equipment and supplies, and replenishing necessary items. The technician will also handle special projects, move furniture and equipment safely, and properly mix and store chemicals. Additionally, they will make beds, utilize tracking systems, respond to calls promptly, and ensure dismissal rooms are ready. The role involves proper handling, transport, and disposal of various waste types, including hazardous and infectious materials, and requires DOT Certification for regulated medical waste. The technician will also perform scheduled floor cleaning, spot cleaning, carpet care, and operate various cleaning equipment safely and professionally.
