About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician performs general cleaning services for the Health System, assists in training other departmental employees, and provides excellent customer service. The position is in the Environmental Services department and requires 40 hours per week. Pay is based on experience, with a starting rate of $16.54 per hour and an estimated compensation range of $16.54–$25.24 per hour. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparing meeting room setups.
Assist in training new employees on departmental operating procedures.
Collect trash and recyclables from assigned areas and place them appropriately for pickup or removal.
Use time, equipment, and supplies productively.
Dust mop and wet mop tiled floors.
Keep assigned equipment clean and operable, assist with preventative maintenance, and promptly report repair needs to a supervisor.
Maintain carpets by vacuuming, spot cleaning, and hosting as necessary.
Mix, use, and dispose of chemicals according to directions.
Move furniture on wheels, such as beds, chairs, and tables.
Perform transfer/discharge cleaning as assigned.
Polish furniture, doors, chrome, stainless steel, and other surfaces.
Respond to Code Speed, Plan D, Dr. Red, Plan W, Code Rush, and Code Alert.
Shampoo upholstered furniture.
Strip, wax, restore, and buff tiled floors according to standard operating procedures.
Wash windows and walls in assigned areas.
