Requirements

  • Ability to follow infection control and safety guidelines

  • Ability to meet physical demands of the role, including walking, bending, and lifting

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous housekeeping or environmental services experience preferred (hospital experience a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Clean and disinfect patient rooms, including daily and discharge cleaning
  • Change linens and prepare rooms for incoming patients
  • Clean and maintain clinical and non-clinical workspaces
  • Perform floor care including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Remove trash, linens, and regulated medical waste safely
  • Stock cleaning supplies and maintain organized work areas
  • Follow infection control procedures, including cleaning isolation rooms
  • Support patient safety and quality standards
  • Participate in departmental training and quality improvement activities
