Environmental Services Tech - Mercy (Full Time) 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Environmental Services Tech performs routine tasks in assigned areas, following a 7-Step cleaning process and remaking beds after disinfecting during discharge cleaning. This role also involves performing routine tasks in assigned areas and following a maintenance schedule for floors and carpets. The position requires cleaning fixtures, furnishings, walls, woodwork, floors, stairwells, interior windows, elevators/tracks, and exteriors of equipment. Additionally, the Tech will empty trash, wipe and reline containers, and operate a compactor if necessary. Replenishing disposable items like soap, toilet paper, and paper towels is also a key responsibility. The role includes moving and resetting furnishings to their original locations after completing tasks and performing all methods of floor care, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing, and extraction using specified equipment.
Requirements
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to complete written forms
- Related experience preferred
- Requires continuous walking, bending, stooping, lifting up to 50-pounds; also pushing, pulling, reaching, climbing ladders that is generally inside.
- Contact with water and cleaning solution, potentially contaminated waste, including sharps and other bio-hazardous waste.
- Applicants for this position are required to undergo a physical ability test as a condition of employment.

- Performs all methods of floor care in duties, including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, refinishing, spot cleaning, burnishing and extraction, using specified equipment.
