About The Position

For over 50 years, St. Anthony North Hospital has provided optimal health care to the communities of Westminster, Erie, Brighton, Broomfield, Northglenn, and Thornton. The campus features 60,000 square feet of integrated primary and specialty care physician clinics, an ambulatory surgery center, a birthing center with private suites, a Level III Trauma Center with 24/7 emergency services, over 150 inpatient beds, and an outpatient diagnostics center offering lab and imaging services. As an Environmental Service Specialist, this role is essential for ensuring an exceptional experience for every patient, associate, and visitor by providing clean surroundings and beautiful indoor/outdoor spaces.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must possess basic computer skills
  • Can distinguish the differences between levels of disinfection and perform low and intermediate level disinfection
  • Ability to explain orally or in writing the differences between levels of disinfection and perform intermediate level disinfection in areas where required
  • Ability to operate necessary equipment/machines
  • Effectively uses computers and mobile devices
  • Respectfully listens to viewpoints and ideas of others
  • Communicates orally or in writing openly and candidly, creates an environment where co-workers and team members reciprocate in kind
  • Ability to work without close supervision

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining safe and clean environments for patients, staff, and visitors by primarily cleaning procedural areas that are established by the department
  • Providing excellent customer services when working with patients, visitors and other staff members
  • Having industry knowledge in the cleaning of specific departments such as the Emergency Department, Operating Rooms and other unique procedural areas
