About The Position

This position performs general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. It is an as-needed, on-call role requiring flexibility to cover days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The position is located at Intermountain Health Spanish Fork Hospital in Spanish Fork, Utah, and is scheduled for zero weekly hours. Pay is $17.68–$22.99 per hour, with the actual rate dependent on experience.

Requirements

Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to distinguish color-coded labels and chemicals and follow written and verbal directions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Follow procedures for disposing of infectious waste and trash.
Handle and clean up emergency spills according to department guidelines and Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Follow infection prevention practices, including cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of PPE.
Maintain work and storage areas according to established policies and procedures to ensure safety.
