About The Position

The Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the team members. This includes creating work schedules, evaluating performance, and resolving employee complaints. The Supervisor is also responsible for the quality and productivity of the department, employee morale, maintaining a positive working relationship with the medical staff, and ensuring employee adherence to facility and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1 year Healthcare Experience or Hospitality Housekeeping Experience

Nice To Haves

• 1 year Supervisory Experience in Housekeeping
• AHA Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP)

Responsibilities

• Interviews, selects, and onboards team members.
• Provides training in accordance with RHS policies and aligns with regulatory environment of care standards.
• Provides training during onboarding, annual recertification, and on an as-needed basis.
• Assists in maintaining a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, State, and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
• Conducts daily inspections in the area of responsibility, ensuring quality/infection control measures are met consistently with appropriate documentation forwarded to the department Manager.
• Demonstrates and ensures the team understands and responds effectively to suggestions and concerns from patients/visitors, personnel, medical staff, and leadership.
• Demonstrates the ability to organize the work of self and department team members.
• Works with assigned employees to ensure that all employees demonstrate an acceptable level of competence, which will result in a high level of quality work performance.
