About The Position

The Environmental Services Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the team members. This role involves creating work schedules, evaluating performance, and resolving employee complaints. The Supervisor is also responsible for the quality and productivity of the department, employee morale, maintaining positive working relationships with medical staff, and ensuring employee adherence to facility and departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
1 year Healthcare Experience or Hospitality Housekeeping Experience

Nice To Haves

1 year Supervisory experience in Housekeeping
AHA Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP)

Responsibilities

Interviews, selects, and onboards team members.
Provides training in accordance with RHS policies and aligns with regulatory environment of care standards, including onboarding, annual recertification, and as needed.
Assists in maintaining a safe patient care environment by consistently complying with RHS, DNV, State, and regulatory standards to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
Conducts daily inspections in the area of responsibility to ensure quality and infection control measures are consistently met, forwarding appropriate documentation to the department Manager.
Demonstrates and ensures the team understands and responds effectively to suggestions and concerns from patients/visitors, personnel, medical staff, and leadership.
Demonstrates the ability to organize the work of self and direct reports.
Works with assigned employees to ensure they demonstrate an acceptable level of competence, resulting in high-quality work performance.
