About The Position

This position is responsible for providing housekeeping support, coordinating housekeeping operations, and ensuring clean and orderly conditions in apartments, cottages, private and common areas, and outdoor program spaces. The role also involves direct supervision of Environmental Services staff and consulting with the corporation regarding housekeeping services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Operate a motor vehicle
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise staff, including scheduling, monitoring attendance, approving timecards, and making recommendations for hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Train staff on housekeeping, janitorial, and floor care procedures, including carpet extraction, buffing, stripping, waxing of hard surface floors, and deep cleaning.
  • Prepare and manage staff work schedules to ensure coverage and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality assurance and cleanliness standards are met.
  • Stock, track, and order housekeeping supplies, including maintaining an accurate inventory and performing purchasing functions as needed.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly by utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Maintenance Teams to coordinate refurbishing and cleaning of apartments and cottages.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and promptly report any concerns to supervisors.
  • Perform general and detailed cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of rugs, carpets, apartments, cottages, commercial buildings, common areas, and dining spaces.
  • Wash, dry, and fold laundry, including rags and mop heads.
  • Empty trash receptacles and manage waste disposal.
  • Assist staff as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned to meet organizational needs.
