About The Position

Messiah Lifeways is a non-profit organization located in Mechanicsburg, PA, that provides a network of services for adults, 55 and better living in South Central PA. The Environmental Services Specialist is tasked with coordinating the moving and storage of resident furniture, room and event setups, as well as logistical support across the campus. This position is also tasked with managing par level furniture and associated communication.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite (word processing, spreadsheets, database management)
Strong Organizational Skills: Managing and coordinating multiple furniture moves.
Strong Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

Notifies Environmental Services Supervisor to communicate fee-for-service furniture moves with the Fiscal Services team.
Maintains a par level of stored furniture and communicates furniture needs to the Environmental Services Supervisor.
Organize and manage storage rooms, evaluating the quality of furniture, and reporting needs/concerns appropriately.
Assist EVS teams with work tasks and preventive cleaning program as assigned.
Daily duties include laundry and trash collection in all Enhanced Living and Nursing neighborhoods.
Deliver and stock housekeeping supplies to EVS team members as required.
Empties Shred-It bins and manages pick up schedule.
Recognizes and treats all items removed from Shred-It bins in a way that protects their confidentiality and security.
Follow daily operations work order as assigned.
