Environmental Services - Manager in Training
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Manager in Training to learn how to manage an account and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a long-term care facility. This paid, structured 12-week program includes hands-on and computer-based training to prepare the employee to manage environmental services in a healthcare setting. The role involves supporting staff and operations, learning applicable policies and regulatory requirements, and communicating with building occupants, administrators, and HCSG staff. The position requires physical activity, routine and repetitive tasks, and residence within the service area.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and complete reports, including web-based reporting.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff.
- Learn to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
- Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.
- Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, communicating directives effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
