Environmental Services - Manager in Training
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Manager in Training to learn how to manage an account and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a long-term care facility. The position includes a structured, paid 12-week training program with hands-on and computer-based training to prepare the employee to manage environmental services in a healthcare setting. The role supports positive community impact and aims to enhance customer and resident experiences while maintaining service excellence. The employee will help supervise staff, learn and support regulatory and policy compliance, participate in staff development and scheduling, maintain operational records, and communicate between facility occupants and administrators and HCSG staff. Residency within the service area is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and complete required reports, including web-based reporting.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
