About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Manager in Training to learn to manage an account and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a long-term care facility. The paid, structured 12-week program combines hands-on and computer-based training to prepare the employee to manage environmental services in a healthcare setting. The role involves working with facility staff and administrators, maintaining operational records, and supporting compliance with applicable policies and requirements. Residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and complete required reports, including web-based reporting.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Residency within the service area is required.

Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff.
Learn to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.
Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, communicating directives effectively.
Perform other duties as assigned.
