Environmental Services - Manager in Training
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Manager in Training to learn to manage an account and oversee housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations at a long-term care facility. This paid, structured 12-week program combines hands-on and computer-based training to prepare the employee to manage environmental services in a healthcare setting. The role supports daily operations, staff supervision and development, regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, and communication between facility occupants and administrators and HCSG staff. The position requires residency within the service area and the ability to perform repetitive tasks and meet the stated physical demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Computer skills, including the ability to maintain records and complete required reports, including web-based reporting.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Assist in managing and supervising housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff.
- Learn to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
- Participate in staff training, development, and scheduling.
- Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment.
- Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, communicating directives effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
