About The Position
This role is responsible for managing soiled and clean linen within the laundry area, ensuring cleanliness and organization. The position involves sorting, loading, folding, and processing various types of linen, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the laundry area and equipment. The shift for this position is from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
Requirements
- Must have the ability to work with other crew members.
- Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Steel toed shoes required when applicable.
- Ability to work in hot conditions.
Responsibilities
- Empty all soiled linen barrels from both Nurses Stations, sort, and load machines.
- Fold any/all linen processed.
- Collect and process soiled bibs and tablecloths from food service.
- Process, hang, and deliver personal items.
- Clean Laundry Area: sweep floors thoroughly (underneath clean linen shelving), wipe down all machines (washers and dryers), recheck lint traps and thoroughly sweep out, straighten up clean linen on shelves and laundry area.
