About The Position

Provide daily cleaning and disinfecting of patient and non-patient areas at Methodist Fremont Health. The role includes dismissal cleaning of patient and resident rooms, routine cleaning according to departmental procedures, maintaining clean and orderly supply areas, and completing additional cleaning projects as time permits. The position follows Hospital and Department policies, infection-control guidance, and safety practices. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with every third weekend. The job is located at Methodist Fremont Health in Fremont, Nebraska.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old.
Must be able to follow written and verbal communication.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete dismissal cleaning of patient and resident rooms using standard procedures to maintain a clean and aseptic environment.
Use standard cleaning procedures and maintain a 95% quality cleaning level in assigned areas during quality-control inspections.
Observe departmental time standards and complete scheduled daily cleaning according to departmental guidelines.
Identify and promptly clean or report spots, spills, trash, and other conditions requiring attention.
Keep the supply area clean and orderly and maintain adequate supplies for daily cleaning duties.
Order supplies by the end of the shift on Mondays and Thursdays.
Perform additional cleaning duties and projects as time permits, such as wall washing, light-fixture cleaning, lime removal, and blind cleaning.
Use cleaning and sanitizing chemicals properly and safely, and identify them by their physical characteristics.
Report facility defects to the appropriate department in a timely manner.
Follow Hospital and Department policies and procedures, including the 7 Step Procedure.
Use proper infection-control guidelines and observe safety policies.
