Environmental Services/Housekeeping Tech II
About The Position
This is a part-time position in the Environmental Services department responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff. The role involves dusting, trash removal, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors, caring for wood floor surfaces, transporting garbage, moving furniture, and completing project work such as window washing. The position requires demonstrating an understanding of and embracing the mission statement of Christian Health. The schedule is part-time, 7 am-3 pm, every other weekend. The hourly rate is $18.50 with a $2.00 weekend differential.
Requirements
- None required (education).
- Demonstrates compliance with the CH ASPIRE Standards of Performance.
- Experience in hard and soft floor care preferred.

- Valid driver's license preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a clean and sanitary environment for residents, patients, visitors, and staff.
- Dusts, removes trash from rooms, cleans bathrooms, and mops floors.
- Cares for soft and hard wood floor surfaces.
- Transports garbage and recycling.
- Moves furniture.
- Completes project work such as window washing.
- Demonstrates an understanding of, and embraces, the mission statement of Christian Health.
- Burnsishes using a 20-inch hi-speed machine up to 1,000 square feet at one time.
- Vacuums carpet with an upright vacuum (weight 20 pounds).
- Dust mops and wet mops floors.
- Visually inspects work for quality completion.
- Maintains chemicals in proper containers and uses chemicals as labels specify.
- Picks up garbage and recycling.
- While in a resident room or resident care area, observes and immediately reports to Charge Nurse any resident needs, resident incidents or clinical equipment in need of adjustment or repair.
- Shampoos using a 20-inch roto up to 15,000 square feet at one time.
- Delivers supplies with the aide of a dolly.
- Moves beds with the aide of a desk lifter.
- Washes walls and windows.
