The Environmental Services Floor Technician is a key team member responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition through proper procedures, with a focus on positive public relations and continuous improvement of the Center's appearance. This role operates on a shift from 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Previous housekeeping experience or other service industry experience.
  • Ability to clean patient rooms.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of floor care, carpet cleaning & equipment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, family members, visitors and staff in the Center.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of housekeeping experience preferred; preferably in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

  • Performs floor care including bonnet cleaning, extraction carpet cleaning, mopping & scrubbing floors, and buffing and waxing floors.
  • Disposes of waste properly.
  • Collects and distributes linen.
  • Sets up rooms for meetings as assigned.
  • Practices good public relations at all times.
  • Cleans and maintains outside areas surrounding the Center.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in the performance of the assignment, in accordance with policy/procedures.
  • Responsible for reporting of employee/patients/visitor’s injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the supervisor.
