About The Position

This position performs highly skilled housekeeping, maintenance, and handyman tasks to care for and maintain the facility and grounds. The Environmental Services & Facilities Technician uses their knowledge of housekeeping processes, power and manual tools needed to perform tasks in categories such as general janitorial, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, and mechanical equipment, etc., to ensure the buildings are in pristine condition.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of building and mechanical equipment OR 3 years' experience in housekeeping/janitorial cleaning
  • Working knowledge of: Drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, shipping and receiving, and door hardware
  • Must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous healthcare facility experience
  • 1 year of experience performing tasks requiring mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in the maintenance
  • Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the use of mechanical equipment and chemicals

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine, rotational maintenance to ensure equipment and facility operations run smoothly.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and process issues independently, identifying and resolving root causes.
  • Utilize power and manual tools for cutting, fitting, and assembling as needed for repairs and projects.
  • Respond to repair and maintenance tickets submitted by internal departments in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for outsourced repairs, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Oversee food services vendor performance, including delivery timelines and quality standards.
  • Order medical supplies, monitor inventory levels, and report on supply status.
  • Receive, organize, and distribute supplies throughout the facility.
  • Report Environment of Care concerns through the ticketing system to support Safety Committee documentation and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to facility standards related to safety, maintenance, and operational readiness.
  • Maintain overall facility cleanliness, including floor care, general cleaning, restroom upkeep, and window cleaning.
  • Restock supplies and perform additional cleaning duties as needed to support a safe and functional environment.
