About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The manager supervises department staff, helps perform housekeeping and laundry duties, and supports a positive experience for residents and customers. The role involves coordinating staff and daily operations, maintaining records, delivering training, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
Requirements
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
- Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions, and ensure projects and programs are completed on time.
- Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
- Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, and communicate directives effectively.
- Use protective gear appropriately and ensure the safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality and complete tasks on time.
- Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
