About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The role focuses on positively impacting the community and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The manager supervises staff and helps carry out housekeeping, laundry, and floor care work across varying shifts. They oversee training, quality control, records, safety practices, and communication between facility occupants and administrators and HCSG staff. The position also involves completing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Be able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions, and ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, communicating directives effectively.
Use protective gear appropriately and ensure the safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, and complete tasks on time.
Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
