About The Position

Physicians East, P.A. is a team of skilled healthcare professionals united to meet the challenge of delivering quality, cost-efficient, comprehensive healthcare to the people of Eastern North Carolina. We are looking for an employee that can perform day-to-day medical office environmental services functions in office areas, patient/procedure rooms, common areas, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Requires the ability to follow oral and written communications.
• Individual must be able to work independently and schedule cleaning activities to meet the needs of patients, staff, physicians, and the public.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous environmental service/cleaning experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of applicable OSHA practice and infection control procedures for healthcare is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweeping and/or mopping floors, dusting furniture, cleaning walls, furniture, medical equipment, and emptying trash, restocking supplies, cleaning bathrooms, etc.
• Ability to read and understand Standard English and be able to work with standard cleaning chemicals, understand operating instructions for cleaning equipment, materials, safety, and accident prevention
• Working knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment
• Ability to work well under stress, tight deadlines, and fast paced environment
• Possess exceptional organizational and critical thinking skills
• Display high level of confidentiality, integrity, and initiative
• Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills and create a favorable impression for the organization to all staff, physicians, patients, and the public
