About The Position

The Environmental Services Custodian Critical Care is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, safety, and order throughout assigned facilities. The position ensures that work areas, offices, and common spaces remain sanitary, organized, and welcoming. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or collaboratively as part of a team.

The position is with Dynamic Systems Inc., a division of Ho-Chunk, Inc., at Walter Reed. It is an AM shift role. Compensation is $22.06 per hour and includes a union benefits package. New hires must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening; employees may also be subject to random screenings during employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior custodial or janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, chemicals, and proper storage and disposal practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
• Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening; may be subject to random drug screenings during employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow established cleaning procedures and schedules to maintain assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, hallways, and common areas.
• Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized storage area for cleaning supplies and tools.
• Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety standards and manufacturer instructions.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Ensure compliance with facility cleaning standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate tasks and priorities.
