About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a polished Environmental Services Custodial Operations Manager to support the Lincoln County School District in Toledo, Oregon. This swing shift role requires a hands-on leader who resides within the county and can effectively oversee sanitation operations across 14 schools serving approximately 5,100 students in a large coastal district. The role is primarily Monday–Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekends and on-call support. The ideal candidate will manage a team of 40, utilize systems such as CMMS and Microsoft Excel, and build strong, collaborative relationships with clients, staff, and the community while driving accountability and service excellence. Requirements

  • Experience driving customer service satisfaction with C-Suite level Clients
  • 5 or more years of previous custodial - environmental services management experience
  • Excellent time management, strong communication skills, hands-on and able to manage adversity and various personality types, be innovative and solution-oriented
  • Strong leadership skills and can work independently to drive program compliance while providing employee reviews and feedback
  • Strong working knowledge of cleaning standards, cleaning chemicals, floor care, high-touch cleaning
  • Knowledge of the district geography and building locations including planning travel navigation with the account's 1,000-mile radius in both peak and non-peak traffic
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Own and resolve sanitation and operational issues independently, ensuring full compliance with Sodexo standards
  • Lead day-to-day custodial operations across a very large district, delivering a safe, clean environment for students, staff, and visitors
  • Manage staffing, scheduling, payroll, and supply ordering while utilizing systems such as CMMS and Microsoft Excel
  • Hire, train, and develop a high-performing team, including safety protocols and proper use of cleaning equipment and tools
  • Maintain full accountability for county-wide operations, driving quality service and fostering a strong, collaborative team culture
  • Provide leadership coverage when the Director is absent and support special projects, including occasional weekend oversight and team support
