About The Position

The Environmental Services Associate maintains the Mount Carmel Fitness Center to consistent, high standards of order, cleanliness, and safety. The role provides locker-room assistance to customers, keeps locker rooms and other facility areas clean and supplied, processes linens, and supports deliveries and conference-room setup. The position requires flexibility and a professional, service-oriented approach when working with members.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
At least 6 months of related experience or training preferred.
CPR/AED certification required within 90 days of hire; training is provided by Power Wellness.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work positively and servicefully with members.
Ability to multitask and maintain a controlled, professional demeanor.
Ability to lift wet linens and cleaning supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.
Ability to be flexible and accommodating with center hours and work schedules.
Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.

Responsibilities

Respond to customer requests for locker assistance.
Maintain integrity and honesty when entering customer lockers.
Clean and maintain locker rooms routinely.
Refill locker-room toiletries and supplies as needed.
Monitor the locker-room area, including the sauna, steam room, and whirlpool, for cleanliness and maintenance issues.
Clean and sanitize floors and surfaces throughout the facility as directed.
Operate automatic washers and dryers; wash, dry, and fold linens, including moving wet linens from washer to dryer.
Replenish towels throughout the center as needed.
Empty trash, replace liners, and break down and dispose of used boxes.
Accept deliveries properly and place stock in designated areas.
Help set up conference rooms.
Meet safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.
Know emergency and safety procedures and communicate confidently with EMS.
Perform other duties as assigned.
