Environmental Services Associate
About The Position
INTEGRIS Health is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Associate 2 at INTEGRIS Health Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The role provides a clean and sanitary environment within the facility and requires population-specific competencies. The associate adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate to the level of patient contact. The position may involve additional or varied physical demands and/or respiratory fit-test requirements. Potential exposures include infections and communicable diseases, blood and body fluids, electrical equipment, and chemicals; standard precautions must be followed. The position reports to the assigned shift supervisor.
Requirements
- At least 3 months of experience performing the job duties of Environmental Services Associate I.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning functions in assigned areas according to established procedures and schedules.
- Report needed project work to the supervisor, including equipment failures and supply needs.
- Keep equipment, housekeeping closets, and/or storage areas clean and stocked.
- Mix and maintain cleaning solutions.
- Assist with orientation and on-the-job training of new employees.
- May fill and push or pull trash and linen carts.
- Use equipment such as a floor buffer, auto scrubber, bovac, carpet extractors, scrapers, grout brush, and wall washer.
- Follow standard precautions.
