About The Position

Responsible for the safety and cleanliness of a hospital or other healthcare facility. This is an onsite role at The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., located at 15 Francis Street. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., for 25 scheduled hours per week. The position does not require patient care.

Requirements

• Two to three years of experience working with cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers.
• Strong organization skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Good communication and comprehension skills.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
• Dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, windows, sills, blinds, and door glass.
• Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
• Clean and sanitize assigned restroom facilities and fixtures, including sinks, urinals, toilets, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; replenish restroom supplies as needed.
• Pick up debris around the building.
• Operate and control high- and low-speed stripping and buffing machines.
• Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for special events and regular hospital activities.
• Identify and report building maintenance needs in assigned buildings and facilities.
