About The Position

The Environmental Services Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of patient care areas, offices, and hospital facilities. This role supports infection prevention efforts and promotes a safe, welcoming environment throughout the organization.

Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Ability to use smartphones or similar mobile devices for work assignments.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work in areas with potential exposure to infectious diseases while following required safety precautions.
Safety glasses must be worn at all times.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas.
Clean and disinfect isolation and precaution rooms in accordance with infection control standards.
Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linens, and bulk waste.
Maintain adequate supplies of paper products and soap in assigned areas.
Keep equipment, carts, and Environmental Services closets clean, organized, and safe.
Respond promptly to work assignments and department communications using mobile devices.
Report maintenance issues, safety concerns, and equipment damage to leadership.
Follow all departmental policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
Attend required training and department meetings.
Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and team members.
