About The Position
Scenic Living Communities is a continuing care retirement community in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Scenic Living Communities offers several levels of living including independent living, assisted living, short-term rehab, and long-term care. In addition to our commitment to provide quality care to our residents, we are also committed to providing a great work environment for our Team Members. We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Services Aide to join our team! This position is critical to our mission and is responsible for maintaining the facility’s general cleanliness to maintain a sanitary and infection-free condition.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent is required.
- Must be able to read, write and follow written and oral instructions in English.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in commercial, hotel or hospital laundry settings is preferred but not necessary.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and laundry duties.
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and shampooers.
- Requires working in damp, dusty and dirty areas.
- At times must clean up human waste and other body fluids, as needed.
- Handles various cleaning solvents and chemicals and is required to use the proper personal protection equipment.
- May be asked to fulfill various resident requests within reason.
