Responsible for cleanliness and infection control in designated areas assigned by Manager/Lead. Including: In-patient, out-patient areas and common areas in all the department throughout the facility. Responsibility including, but not limited to dusting, disinfecting, sweeping and mopping, vacuuming, emptying waste baskets and collecting linen. Laundry duties include different task with dirty and clean linen. The Environmental Services Department is responsible for meeting the needs of its customers, which include all patient care areas (Med-Surg, ER, OR, outpatient and diagnostic services, doctor’s offices, etc.), by providing them with a clean, sanitary and aesthetically pleasing environment while following basic established safety, cleaning and infection control practices. The scope of service includes providing suitable linen in sufficient quantities, while identifying and anticipating customers’ future needs. Environmental Services is responsible for the care, repair and placement of all audio/visual equipment, set-up of meetings, and recycling (cardboard, paper, office equipment and furniture). The Department will assist in meeting the needs of all areas through revising schedules, creating items to meet unusual needs—such as curtains, cart covers, etc., and providing lost and found services. This is conducted seven days a week, 24 hours.
