Environmental Services Aide
About The Position
Performs a variety of cleaning tasks in all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. Must comply with all infection control, safety, and cleanliness requirements as mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies. This role requires the ability to clean and disinfect various rooms for patient care and treatment, knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety procedures, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The position also involves organizing cleaning duties, prioritizing work for efficiency, maintaining collaborative working relationships with other departments, and guarding the confidentiality of sensitive information.
Requirements
- Demonstrates skill in cleaning/disinfecting various rooms for patient care and treatment.
- Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection control, and safety procedures.
- Can work with minimal supervision.
- Able to organize cleaning duties and prioritize work to complete assignments efficiently.
- Maintains collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
- Actively guards the confidentiality of sensitive information, including but not limited to the patients, staff, and the health system.

- 1 to 2 years of work experience
