About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment. The role supports compliance with regulations and quality standards and contributes to a healing environment that fosters patient well-being. The aide cleans hospital areas using a range of equipment, keeps work areas tidy, and follows procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations. The position requires good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Use high dusters, vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and other tools to perform cleaning duties.
• Handle general office equipment and help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Communicate effectively and approach tasks with attention to detail.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures for handling hazardous materials and potential exposure situations.
