About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment in accordance with regulations and quality standards. The role supports a healing environment for patients and contributes to the organization’s commitment to excellence.

The aide cleans hospital areas using equipment such as high dusters, vacuums, mops, and floor polishers, and helps keep work areas tidy. The position requires good communication, attention to detail, independent and efficient work, and adherence to procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations. Weekday or weekend work and evening or night shifts may be required if needed.

Requirements

• Good communication skills and a detail-oriented approach.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Use high dusters, vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and other tools to perform cleaning duties.
• Handle general office equipment and help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
