About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary healthcare environment. Performs a variety of environmental services duties, including cleaning patient and non-patient areas, floor care, waste removal, restroom sanitation, and facility support to ensure a clean and welcoming hospital environment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Experience working with the cleaning equipment and chemicals used in hospitals and healthcare centers 2-3 years required
Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
Good communication and comprehension skills.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors; vacuum and shampoo carpets.
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, equipment, and woodwork.
Clean walls, ceilings, windows, blinds, doors, and other building surfaces.
Empty, clean, and sanitize waste receptacles in assigned areas.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, walls, and drinking fountains; restock supplies as needed.
Remove litter and debris from building grounds and surrounding areas.
Operate high- and low-speed floor care equipment, including stripping and buffing machines.
Set up tables, chairs, and equipment for hospital events and daily operations.
Identify and report maintenance and repair needs within assigned areas.
