About The Position

Main Line Health is hiring Environmental Services Technicians at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, Pennsylvania. The role involves cleaning and supplying patient rooms and other hospital areas in accordance with Environmental Services Department procedures and hospital objectives. Work includes floor care, refuse and soiled-linen removal, facility cleaning, and assigned projects. Technicians provide friendly, efficient service to patients, visitors, and coworkers; maintain equipment cleanliness; report machine malfunctions; and identify needed repairs to hospital equipment, furniture, and fixtures.

Available schedules include full-time first shift (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.), full-time second shift (2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.), full-time third shift (11:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.), and part-time work of 20 hours per week on the 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. shift. All positions require every-other-weekend work and rotating holidays. Positions of 20 hours per week or more are benefits eligible.

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Every-other-weekend work and rotating holidays are required.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years of housekeeping experience.
• Previous experience using battery-operated floor scrubbers, buffers, and burnishers.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply patient rooms, nursing stations, lounges, lavatories, common areas, floors, public bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas.
• Dry mop and wet mop floors, and buff or burnish floors using the appropriate machines.
• Collect and transport trash and remove soiled linen and red waste according to Main Line Health standards.
• Wash walls, hang cubicle curtains, clean stairwells, and perform other assigned projects.
• Provide friendly, efficient customer service to patients, visitors, and coworkers.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and report machine malfunctions.
• Observe and report the need for repairs to hospital equipment, furniture, fixtures, and other items.
