About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician assists the Environmental Services Manager with the physical plant, environment, maintenance, and cleanliness of the internal community building and external community grounds. The communities function similarly to a hotel or private club, and the role helps maintain immaculate surroundings and provide exceptional customer service. The technician is expected to interact with courtesy, dignity, and respect.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Able to walk, climb stairs, bend, and squat.
• Able to withstand external weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

• Building maintenance experience in the hospitality industry or a senior living community is preferred.
• Experience in carpet cleaning, floor care, and painting projects is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the housekeeping team.
• Assist with grounds and building maintenance projects.
• Move furniture for community event setup and teardown.
• Help ensure preventive and corrective maintenance work orders are completed promptly and thoroughly. Work may include HVAC, plumbing, electrical, furniture, or equipment repairs; picking up trash; keeping common areas neat; sweeping walks and curbs; watering lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds; and shoveling, sanding, and salting icy areas.
• Perform other related work activities as needed.
